I am reading some very cool books this quarter. Thus, Quarter 1 of 2026 has begun at a really good pace. I am always eager to read certain types of books more than others, and that genuinely happens nowadays because I am always experimenting, and trying new combination of ideas. The mind works in a pattern, and we only want to do what we deem best, and that happens more freely when we have a bunch of options. Thus, reading for me, because of my [[Fast Playlists]], and [[Slow Playlists]], I always, internally feel, that I have a variety of options. Thus, today, I will talk and discuss about the books that I keep coming back to, when I have that feeling of abundance.

The books that I want to talk about are [[10 to 25]], by [[David Yeager]]. This is a really interesting book. From this book, I have memorized the terms [[Enforcer Mindset]], [[Protector Mindset]], and [[Mentor Mindset]]. I genuinely think that is such a cool phenomenon, and it maybe is old news, but for me, by reading this book, I have internalized the main mindsets that we have, and for the sake of being concise, I am only saying three. The [[Mentor Mindset]] is the most important, in my opinion, though the other mindsets can also help or hurt us. Thus, with time, all the mindsets take form, and I genuinely think it’s a protection mechanism for us, as human beings. When we observe, we realize how certain mindsets actually start manifesting. Furthermore, I am in the mindset that we can change our mindsets, if we’re conscious of what’s happening.

The second book that I would like to talk about is [[Everyone Communicates, Few Connect]], by [[John C. Maxwell]]. I am a big fan of Mr. Maxwell, because I take It to heart, and he was one of the first people that really made me see the power in writing. Thus, when I read his book, [[15 Invaluable Laws of Growth]], back in 2013 while I was in Japan, I was captured by his thought processes, as well as the fact that I was in a new country. At the time, I was probably fond of his excited nature, and how he exuded a sense of wonder, when he wrote his book. Furthermore, reading his current book, [[Everyone Communicates, Few Connect]], at least for me, I am realizing he is a really cool and respectable person.

Mr. Maxwell really seems to describe a lot of things super easily. Although his concepts or super deep, the way he explains a lot of things, it’s super easy to take in. Being able to explain complexity in simple terms, it really is the magic gift of communication. We have a lot of skills as people, though if nobody can understand it, and we are only thinking with ourselves, and our skills at the end don’t mean anything. Thus, in order for our skills to manifest into reality, we have to develop great skill in how we communicate with others. We are of value, when we can be of service to people, and that happens if what we’re saying actually connects with the other person. I can say a thousand different things, but at the end of the day, our words are valuable, only if we are fulfilling a need for the other person. We can have a lot of wants, for why we are doing something, but at the end of the day, the wants of the other person has to be met, that is something that I am starting to understand more nowadays.

Some further books that I will talk about, it’s going to evolve into, not just mindsets, but also the process of aging, and as well as the creative mind. The two books that I will mention for the remainder of this blog are [[How Not to Age]], by [[Dr. Michael Greger]], and [[The Creativity Code]], by [[Marcus Du Sautoy]]. I am still super fascinated by the aging process, specifically because, I think, comparatively, I am more prone, at a younger age, to have felt a lot of pain, compared to people who didn’t experience the trauma that I have felt. That includes, beginning my life, at the age of 8, breaking my leg, which I ended up breaking again 2 more times, in the following 5 years.

For me, [[How Not to Age]], and it’s a 27 hour audiobook, it will exemplify what I really care about, and what I actually take in, when I read books that are of this length. I am familiar with a lot of the research that Dr. Greger will be talking about, but hearing from a professional perspective, I think Dr. Greger will explain it even further, so I question myself less. Moreover, I am already reaping some benefit, because now I know how intense autophagy is, and there is also mytophogy. And just, having a person who knows what they’re talking about, and devoting an insane amount of research, for the people that have patience, to double check him, I am genuinely mesmerized, and I think I will learn a lot from this book. This is a book that I am excited to be reading, this quarter. And I have realized, I am a sucker for reading books that explain how the internal body components change over time, based on when we talk about aging.

Lastly, I would like to talk about the book [[The Creativity Code]], by [[Marcus Du Sautoy]]. This book has come about, because I have recently started an AI Course [[AI in Architecture]], and it’s mind-blowing what AI will be capable of doing. I’m already mind-blown a lot of the times, which is why I started this course. I am genuinely grateful that [[Jacob Russo]] has initiated this class. I am very aware of how AI will eventually revolutionize the information system even further. Though, at the end of the day, I think of it as a tool. And AI tools, are just more enhanced tools, that we human beings will be able to utilize, as long as we understand the foundation, and we use it accordingly.

I am excited, because, understanding the mechanics of training data, understanding how AI’s determine junk data, and just understanding , in general, how AI is performing a lot of things that it does, I definitely think it will help alleviate some of the anxiety that we can feel, when so much information is at stake. Thus, being able to use AI, as an amazing tool, it’s super important for our development, as a human species. I think we have come to a point, where this really matters, and we have to educate ourselves, with people who are also super curious about this. Thus, [[Marcus Du Sautoy]], because of his book, is one of those individuals, that really has a very strong grasp of what’s happening internally. I’m excited to be finishing this book up.

This concludes my 2nd monthly blog of Quarter 1 of 2026. It’s been an interesting start to the year. Though I am excited for this year a lot, because I have more autonomy, and I know myself a lot more, compared to previous years. And a lot of these developments, it has me super excited for the future. Thus, I cannot wait to see what else I will discover. Thank you for taking your time reading this blog, this platform has really kept me going, and my writing has been improving even more, as a result.
