Hi, to my site audience, so I am going to do something that I haven’t done on this site, and I am going to just roll with it. Because I am super excited, and specifically excited, because I just finished [[David Perlmutter]]’s book [[Drop Acid]], and I genuinely think I will remember this book for a very long time. Because without a doubt, everything he said about Uric acid, and how it develops, it has a lot of logic to it. And with this logic, I just want to go over my reverence for [[David Perlmutter]]. Because I genuinely think he is such a genuinely intelligent person. And I am so happy that I was able to finish this book.

And the first blog I wrote about Dr. Perlmutter, where I convey my reverence for him, it’s called [[11- Perlmutter and His Greatness]] and I will link this blog as well. I think this is going to be important, because before reading this book, I have never heard about [[Uric Acid]], and I had no reference to what this was. But now that I know, and of course, I still have nowhere near the ideas that Dr. Perlmutter has, but I genuinely think it’s incredible what the power of food can do to us. And the rapid high uric acid that is prevalent in today’s society, it’s totally human controlled. Because of artificial sweeteners, like fructose, our body is more on the side of having more uric acid, and that is incredible to realize. Because now it makes it sense to me, why I should avoid sodas all together. I didn’t think much of it, in the past, but now I am more adamant, then ever.

Because I was once 225 lbs, just 4 years ago. And when I first came to the US, and this was back 2000, I drank a lot of sodas. And that time, that was when I really started struggling, with my teeth as well. And I have a lot of history, trying to figure out what is actually happening to my body. Back then, I did not blink an eye, and I had no idea that drinking soda everyday was bad for me. It just seemed like a good drink, and nobody told me that one day, at the age of 19, I would lose a tooth, and I still have not gotten it back yet. And it’s been a journey, trying to figure out what the hell is happening, to my body, with a missing teeth. And because of this reason, I’ve always been curious about what is actually happening to my body, at all times.

And this is one of the main reasons for why I am so curious about exploring, and understanding the human body. And it’s also one of the reason, why I can’t just focus on architecture and buildings, because I believe, wholistic approaches to living is super important. Just having an enclosure as a space for us to live in, does not mean anything, if we ourselves are not healthy. And architecture is pretty awesome, but it’s only one element, to the whole life that we human beings have. And we can have buildings, but just having buildings is not enough, we have to first have a good body, so we can occupy and live in a space that we also can thrive in.

And even trying to do something cool, like constructing a cool building, that can only happen, if our body is actually obeying our command. If we don’t understand, fundamentally, why we act the way we do, then fundamentally, no matter what structure we create, there is going to be negative repercussion. And everything has a pro and a con. And for me, understanding how the body works, it’s an essential first step, before I make more leaps, into making spaces that I genuinely care about.

And for me, Dr. Perlmutter’s ideology, understanding that food really is the ultimate medicine for us human beings. And in our society, we have to be conscious about what we eat, and I know it’s not easy, but nothing easy ever is amazing. We human beings have joy, because we also struggle. And struggling is not bad, I think, as long it’s not chronic, and as long as we don’t loose hope. And struggling, while our body is in tip-top shape, that’s actually a good thing. Because then our body can recover, then we can do even cooler things.

And Dr. Perlmutter, I just am super grateful, to have learned so much from him. From first reading his book [[Brain Makers]], learning about [[The Microbiome]], to learning about the [[Glymphatic System]], that I didn’t even know existed, and in actuality, yes, it was only discovered in 2013. And that is incredible. And our glymphatic system is activated when we sleep, and specifically fully activated, when we are in deep sleep, the slow waves of our brain, when we our body is recovering. And that for me is such an amazing understanding, especially gaining insights and the realization of how our body heals. And [[Brain Wash]], Dr. Perlmutter’s, another book of his, explains this concept pretty well.

And the crazy thing is, I still haven’t read [[Grain Brain]], and I think that was one of his first books. Thus far, I have read 3 of Dr. Permutter’s books, and I genuinely think all 3 gave me aha moments, and it’s a incredibly journey, to be learning so many cool things about the human body. And this is one of the main reasons I love learning, because intelligent people like Dr. Perlmutter exist, and he genuinely simplifies some of the most complex subjects, into digestible format, and it’s genuinely incredible, and I genuinely love this, with all my heart.

And I will read [[Grain Brain]] as well, because this man is incredible, at least for me, I have learned so much from him. And I am beyond grateful, to be gaining such perspective. Because I also live with my parents, who are aging, and I want to understand how to protect them as well. It’s not easy, but understanding how our body works, it genuinely is of paramount importance, so we can genuinely protect ourselves. It’s not easy in our world, when big corporations, who are just endlessly make products, sometimes discarding the fact that mass ease of convenience have massive repercussions. And we are also harming ourselves in the long run, especially people who aren’t super knowledgeable, and this is especially true for kids, who are the in the forefront, who are facing the most harshest of consequences, specifically when the adults don’t have the knowledge to help, when the kids make bad decisions.

And this is the unfortunate reality of how life works. And it’s kind of tragic, but that’s why we have to be conscious, and I am not a young kid anymore, I am 34 years old, so I have faced my own share of dilemmas in life. And for me, understanding from the real experts, who actually can defend themselves with pure logic and science, I genuinely love this, with all my heart. That’s why I will keep studying, and I will keep my eyes open, and I will also keep trying to understand architecture as well.

Because I did come from a third world country, and at one point, we didn’t even have electricity, or a tv. And it was only once I came to the United States, that I started grasping, how vast and technologically advance society is. And it’s incredible, some parts of the world, they still are not aware, of so many advances that have been made. And of course, some people in every society know, the advances in science, but grasping to a legitimate degree, and being able to convey back, in a logical manner, that is not easy, and it’s taken awhile, even for myself, to get to this point.

And I genuinely am super grateful, and I hope to keep learning, from great people like Dr. Perlmutter, who explains with so much logic, and understanding. And I genuinely believe so many cool things are possible, as long as we keep our eyes open, and we keep our bodies healthy. And it’s not an easy task, but we have to give it our all, and we have to slowly try to understand what we can, and proceed with full confidence that everything will be good, but we have to take it one day at a time, and we have to learn from one person at a time.
