I’m so excited, May is coming to an end, and I just want to go over some of the books that I am really thinking about. One of the cool thing is, I care about time more than anything else. And it seems like I can write to you guys, my audience, when I feel the time is important. And the importance cannot be overstated, but I don’t always have the strength, nor the confidence, to always write for my site. Though, I do think coherently, but I also am super diffident sometimes, which is a nightmare of a scenario, but it’s not bad, because I do know when I work. And it’s important, especially now, that I can just genuinely write whatever that comes to my mind. And this is a first for me, right when I get up in the morning, I have a desire to write my daily blogs, but it’s a first for me to write for my site, and get this intense desire.
I’ve read a lot of books in my life, and recently I have found my external hard drive, with all the books that I read through college. And right now, because I have obsidian, I can genuinely, while having fun, organize books, and collect [[100 Core Terms]], from the books that I’ve read from the past. And now that I look back, a lot of my books have similar themes, which is super incredible, and awesome to notice. And I genuinely love that I am able to notice all these different types of thoughts. And it’s genuinely incredible that it is possible, that we can do all these different things.
One book in particular that I am excited about right now is, [[Endure]], by [[Cameron Hanes]]. And I don’t always get excited anymore, but a guy who can run marathons in the morning, before the work day starts, I couldn’t stop myself from starting the book. I genuinely think it’s such an amazing phenomenon, once you train your body, it can do miraculous things. And that just gives me so much hope for what is possible in the future. And my thoughts aren’t always as linear as I would like it to be, but I genuinely love when I get excited, and I am able to write like this.
And it’s not just [[Endure]] that I am excited about. I’m also reading another [[Michio Kaku]] book, called [[The Future of Humanity]], and I really liked his book, back in the past, and that book, [[The Future of the Mind]], it really did make me understand physics more. And this guy is known for his string theory, which he believes, and it probably is the most prominent theory, to explain how the universe works. I still cannot explain what string theory is, but something to do with wave particles, and vibrations and pretty much the essence of life. So it’s interesting, when some of the dense materials, can be explained in layman’s terms. And I do love that phenomenon.
And not only that, last week, I had the desire to get 10 more books, but I just listed them instead. I recently discovered something cool on audible, I really love their wish list. And at the end of the year, they have a site-wide sale, at least they did last year, where every book was like 3-5 dollars, which was insane. I ended up buying like 30 books, at that time. And now, I love putting books in my wishlist, even if I can’t buy them right now, I can probably get them at the end of year. I don’t get a huge desire to get books, even though I always have 3-4 credits on audible, leftovers, but once I do see a deal that I genuinely like, I just cannot pass it up.
And an even cooler thing is, I am actually reading a lot of these books, because I break down my books into smaller chunks, and that’s super amazing for me. And I love it so much, because I can start retaining so much information as a result. And it’s for me, an incredible phenomenon. And because, I have also recently found my college audiobooks, I have realized, I read a lot of books then as well. And I’ve been thinking for awhile, what book actually got me interested in writing, and I have recently found that book as well. Back in 2013, when I was in Tokyo, I read a book called [[The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth]], by [[John C. Maxwell]] and that gave me such a profound respect for the writing process. Maybe it wasn’t even just the book itself, but the fact that I was able to reach Japan, and be studying in a study abroad program, all on my own, that gave me the confidence, and then that gave me mental clarity, for higher zones of power, you can say.
And it’s pretty spectacular what each zone can tell you. And I love life, and I know it’s not easy, but these moments make me happy. And I love that I am able to do so many cool things, as a result of it. And it’s genuinely such an incredible feeling, to be able to embrace the things that we love. And I genuinely think time has a lot to do with it. Like I was saying, in the beginning of this blog, life is not just one thing, it’s an accumulation of all the things that are happening, that actually sparks our interest. And the crazy thing is, I think any book can grab our mind, if we give it the chance, and as long as we learn from it, and actually apply it as well. If we always just take information passively, then no matter how great a book is, it really won’t matter. We have to put meaning, based on our own experience, and how we view and perceive time.
