[[July 2025 Books]]
I have four books that I want to talk about, and I have learned a bunch of stuff about investing, which is pretty cool. And I have started reading books by [[Warren Buffett]], and [[Jeff Bezos]]. I feel like these are pretty dense books, because these men really are super brilliant, but they also are super patient, and super knowledgeable. It’s incredible the systems all of them have. I don’t remember too many things, but one thing about Jeff Bezos I learned was his vision for space, and how [[Blue Origin]] is literally his most devoted project right now for him, after leaving Amazon. And as a child, he was always fond of the space frontier.
One cool thing is, he really has super high ambition regarding what is possible in space. And it’s incredible, what he thinks we can do, if the right systems are in place, and how future space entrepreneurs will change the course of how we human beings will live outside our planet. I do genuinely love one thing about Jeff Bezos, and it is the fact that he really does want to protect Earth, and his purpose for founding Blue Origin is so we can preserve Earth even more, as it is the origin of how we view life. And wherever we go in the future, Earth will be a place of beauty, at least that’s the vision Bezos seems to have. And I genuinely do have fond vibes with that.
And Warren Buffet, he is another interesting fella. Of course, I know him as one of the greatest investors of our time, and his book [[The Book of Investing Wisdom]], really does showcase his brilliance. Though I don’t know how I’m going to apply his wisdom, I do know we have to be deliberate in how we invest. And at the end of the day, we do have to gamify the system, if we want to succeed in any endeavor. So it’s interesting to be in the mindsets of these individuals. I never researched much about Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffet before, but this can be a beginning for me. And [[Invent & Wander]], by [[Jeff Bezos]], and [[The Book of Investing Wisdom]], by [[Warren Buffett]] are two good books that I would recommend if you want to know more about who they are.
It’s interesting so much information exists nowadays, and I think that’s why it’s easier to get lost in what to search for. And everyone is focusing on something, so it’s interesting to get perspective from people who really have mastered the art of discipline, and have rose to insanely high grounds. And it’s interesting to me, to understand all this, at least to the level I can. And I have fond memories, I do like reading these books at my own pace. And although I don’t take in enough, since I do skim through or get distracted at some moments, overall, reading slowly really does help me appreciate these guys more.
And I also started some other books in the last month or so, and that includes [[The Path]], by [[Peter Mallouk]], preview by [[Tony Robbins]], and that was another book that I am reading to get more understanding of finance, since I do lack a certain level of intellect in that realm. And I still don’t know much, but I like hearing their perspective, and how they see how money actually works. Had a similar vibe to [[The Psychology of Money]], by [[Morgan Housel]], so I like the ideas that I was exposed to. Pretty much to stay conscious of how we use our money.
And I also am really enjoy the book [[The Art of Gathering]] by [[Priya Parker]], I think this is also a pretty cool book. It’s interesting to see how the phenomenon of gathering works. And I have some weakness in this regard, since I do shy away when it comes to interacting in big crowds. But I do like taking in perspective, and I’m glad I started this book. And I have to take in more stuff, and understand why gatherings are important, and how they can help us, desire the things that we want as human beings. Similar to [[The Art and Science of Connection]], by [[Kasley Killam]], I really think [[Social Health]] is super important, so I hope to understand more, as I continue to read some more similar books, exploring these topics.
