[[Q4 2024 Books]]

I’m in a contemplative mood today, and I want to discuss 3 books that I am currently reading. My purpose for this blog is to just rehearse, and to see if I understand what I am actually reading. The first book that I will mention is called [[The Great Bridge]] written by [[David McCullough]]. This is a book that a senior member recommended to me when I went for a walk, a couple of months ago. And I was curious about the Brooklyn Bridge, and how it actually got made. There are 2 central figures in this book, [[John Roebling]], the designer of the Brooklyn Bridge, and his son [[Washington Roebling]], who actually helped construct the bridge, after his father’s death. And it’s an interesting book, that I’m curious to learn about. Sometimes, nowadays, I just listen to figure out how certain mindsets really work. And this is a little mundane at times, but because I read it when I am super alert, I do gain a new perspective, in how some very creative, deliberate people work.

The second book I will mention is [[Main Street Millionaire]], written by [[Codie Sanchez]]. And this is a new book I’m reading, just to gain insights into how I can potentially start a business, and make my own income, at my own pace. And it’s a book about buying ordinary businesses, from owners who actually don’t want to run their businesses anymore. It’s an interesting book, because I don’t always know which perspective to trust, and there are always so many perspectives, and we can gain a lot of insights, when we listen deeply to a perspective, specifically if they are really well thought out. And for me, listening to Codie Sanchez go about describing her methodology, in regards to making income, and running these businesses, it genuinely really is a unique perspective. And I appreciate it.

The third book I will mention is [[Choose Your Enemies Wisely]], by [[Patrick Bet-David]]. And this is one of those books, that I didn’t really know too much about when I started, but it’s totally a business mindset book. And it’s interesting perspective to take in, because it’s about the motivation factor, how to keep the fire in us, for why we should be doing something, when we’re dead-set on pursuing it. I personally don’t know if I agree with everything, but the thing that I do agree with, the enemy doesn’t necessarily have to be a person per say, it can be an institution, or something that is out of our control, but it’s actually controlling us, because of its over-arching reach. And I genuinely think it’s interesting to figure out why we tick the way we do.

And for me, trying to understand these 3 authors, it’s genuinely a journey for me. I do want to try to make my own income, and I have also started my own site, [[RaihanFabricates.Com]] as well, to actually initiate the process of selling a service. I don’t know how things will go, but for me, this is an avenue, and in a way, things only work, once we go forward. And I do genuinely love writing nowadays, and being able to broadcast my thoughts on my own site, and it being on google, it really has given me some confidence. I didn’t really think much about it, but I just wanted to give something, and I’m just excited about the things that I read, because I have created a system, where I enjoy doing the hard things, that a traditional person would find super boring.

Thus, I am able to genuinely get excited, from a set of options, picking something, and being able to read it at my own volition, I feel like I control my time, and my worth. And it’s genuinely such an amazing feeling, and as a result, I do love these processes, of trying to figure out, how I myself tick as well. And being able to utilize the energy that we have each day, appropriately, I think that’s the fight of all men. And it’s incredible to always be learning, and understanding so many cool things. I genuinely love life, as a result, because everyday is a new journey, with a new source of energy.

Though we do have to make our bodies work, and we do have to understand why we tick the way we do. And these 3 authors that I have mentioned, I think they work in similar fashion. Because they’re writing also, because they want to understand how what they have learned, actually can benefit mankind. Which is saying a lot, but that’s the mindset that you have to go with, if you ever want to achieve anything. And it’s true, we human beings, we have a vanity point, where we genuinely see what we’re doing ourselves, as something that is respectable. Because if we are not ourselves able to respect something, we do fall apart, and being able to respect ourselves, that is of paramount importance.

And no matter what happens in life, self-worth will define how we proceed in life. And confidence comes about, when we genuinely have faith in our own abilities, without external validation. And for me this is an amazing realization. And although not many people actually comment on my site, that doesn’t hinder me at all anymore, because I know certain individuals are looking, and it is being used as a reference sometimes. Not everything I say is 100% accurate, but I really genuinely am curious about the things that I write about. And I choose it because I am at a point in my life, where these things are things that I genuinely want to understand more. And the more I synthesize different books, in this setting, the more clarity I get, in regards to how I view reality. And reality is super fun, because everyday is a new journey, and so many cool things are around us, and we genuinely just have to look sometimes. And that’s the coolest thing about life.
